Hemp-derived CBD and the law

Products listed here are derived from hemp, not marijuana, and are represented by their manufacturers as containing no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight — the federal definition of hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill. We haven't independently lab-tested any product to confirm this. Legal status for hemp-derived CBD products still varies by state and can change; check your local laws before purchasing, and confirm current lab results (often published as a Certificate of Analysis) on the brand's own site.

NASC certification

The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is an independent industry body that audits member companies' manufacturing and quality practices. A "NASC certified" badge on this site means the brand appeared in the live member directory at nasc.cc as of that listing's last-verified date — it isn't an endorsement by CBD Dog Guide, and membership can change after our last check.
